12 month LID & Fathers Day

Each face my nephew drew represents the feelings I've felt during the last 12 months of this wait. This month I feel a little like the one beside the 12th LID with the bloodshot eyes! LOL
How would you like yours scrambled, boiled, fried, sunnyside up, down, poached or in a quiche or perhaps an omlet? I'll make a Western Denver for myself.

Below is my contribution to a Fathers Day post.

I gave this to my sister a couple of years ago. We lost our dad when we were very young and we don't have a lot of pictures of him. We both noticed he didn't smile in any of them.

I had all the people close to Lori put one stitch in it somewhere just to give it that special touch. I spent the entire winter working on this for her, every spare moment I had the cross stitch needle in my hand.

Dear Lori, Y
I took the time with skill and grace,
to stitch for you our fathers face.
This photograph won't rip or tear,
t'was stitched for you with loving care.
The fabric is dampened with many tears,
of memories and lost dreams from many years.
Many of your loved ones in this project did partake,
with love locked in every stitch without a mistake.
Although he is gone and there will never be another,
the best way to get to know him is through each other.
I didn't know how and it took awhile
but I managed to stitch for you a smile!YLove Debz

Also want to wish my wonderful husband a very Happy Fathers Day.

I LOVE YOU HUNNY!YPhoto Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

So wonderful!! I can't believe it! So am I the only one asking - how did you get the picture onto the cloth? Is it a kit or did you do the transfer yourself? I know I don't have that talent but would love to do it for my Dad too.
Please answer (at our blog or email). Thanks.
