On New Years or around then I decided to start to take better care of my body by eating according to the Canada's Food Guide, trying not to eat 3 hours before I go to bed and getting more physical activity. I know I will be glad I did when we get back from China because I have heard a few people say they were fatigue, sore and had low energy for the first little while after arriving home. I figure if I start now I can make it a life time change. So I'm also trying to drink more water and BTW I hate drinking water! Some say dring 10 8oz glasses a day some say 6 8oz, I have been doing good to get 3-4 8oz glasses into me! I have subsituted my coffee for tea with no cream or sugar (I have used splenda ) And after yesterdays news Ill just not rush myself into drinking too much. Did you all hear about the lady in California who was in a radio contest to try to win a "Sony Wii" for her 3 children? The contestants had to see how much water they could drink without going for a Wii (WEE) , it got down to 2 ladies and they were up to about 2 gallons in 3 hours and this lady said on the air " I have a headache", it was ignored she ended up dying of water intoxication shortly after she arrived home. Sad. What a dangerous contest to run. I guess the radio station is under investigation because a few people called in warning them of the risks!
So as of the first part of January I have been meeting a friend at least once a week and we have been encouraging each other and holding each other accountable for our fitness goals. She has 2 beautiful children and they love to go for walks, and get involved. I have lost 3 lbs so far which isn't much but I'm sure it is an exchange of fat for muscle ;o) right?
As for the song I've chosen for this post all I can say is "SORRY" he he!! Well it was the best I could do!!!
