Happy Thanksgiving Canada!

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
Time for my Pumpkin Shutterups!
I hope all of you take time to relax spend time with family and friends
and enjoy this time of Thanksgiving, being thankful for all God has
provided for us. I am thankful so so many things I can't begin to list
them all, but I will say that I am thankful for family, friends and my new
blog friends, it is so nice to share this expectancy with all of you.
May God bless you and keep you and shine his face upon you.
From our house to yours,
Deb, Shane, Jaclyn, Bailey and Midgie.

WHY DOES TURKEY MAKE ME TIRED
L-Tryptophan and Carbohydrates
L-tryptophan may be found in turkey and other dietary proteins, but it's actually a carbohydrate-rich (as opposed to protein-rich) meal that increases the level of this amino acid in the brain and leads to serotonin synthesis. Carbohydrates stimulate the pancreas to secrete insulin. When this occurs, some amino acids that compete with tryptophan leave the bloodstream and enter muscle cells. This causes an increase in the relative concentration of tryptophan in the bloodstream. Serotonin is synthesized and you feel that familiar sleepy feeling.

Do you have Thanksgiving in Canada? Thanks for the Turkey Trivia! Who would've thought? I thought all meat was protein rich?!
