Why do some lady bugs have 1 spot on each side while others have 2,3,4 some 5?I was just wondering. I found my first lady bug on May 15th. It only had 1 spot on each side, but I have to say it was very small, perhaps they have to grow into them????
I just learned that green houses will special order a box of ladybugs for you to keep other pests away from your yard and garden!!!! I want a box just because!

Actually, the number of spots define which type of ladybug it is.
There are even ladybugs with no spots at all!
