Where to begin.....

Kim's first day we went to the south side of the Island...the south side has red sand and the water is warm. The north side has silky white sand (beautiful!) but it's much colder.

Kim helped build this cake, we had a lot of laughs making it ;O).

While She was visiting we waisted no time at all...we burned the candle at both ends. I hardly even took the time to update my Facebook although one day I wrote that "at the end of each night we slid into our bedrooms sideways with one eye shut" and that pretty much summed it up...we soooo enjoyed each and every day that we didn't want the day to end.

I can't even begin to tell you how much of a blessing it was to spend time with her. We talked so freely and openly about everything like we had always known each other. We met about 3 years ago on our adoption blogs but I feel like I grew up with her.

Her bucket list had about 65 things on it and there were only two remaining when she left, one was that I'd catch her saying "EH" and the other is that she comes back with her sweet Issabella one day.

I can't remember all the other 63 things but if you pop over to Kim's blog HERE you will get to see her post some things about her trip over the next little while from her perspective.

One thing that I realized when Kim left was that I had a whole new appreciation for our little Island. I fell in love with it all over again. Funny what we take for granted until someone experiences it for the first time and then shares their experience with you.

Kim will always be welcome in our home. She is an amazing lady. An honor to call a part of our family. My life will be forever changed. We miss her so much.

This is one of no doubt a few posts to come of Kim's trip to PEI.

This was her first morning with us. It didn't take long for Sugar Pie to warm up to her Arizona Auntie. Sugar is looking threw a beautiful scrapbook that Kim made for her. It was sooo sweet. Each page had a letter from the alphabet on it with pictures that pertained to Sugar's life. It will be treasured dearly.

Sugar looking for seaweed bubbles to burst.
Holding a hermit crab.....she was a little nervous when it was trying to poke it's face out....it was pretty funny watching her squirm a little. :o) HaHa.
We had supper that first day at the "DeckHouse".

LOL, this pic was fun. She had to stand inside a huge lobster trap to get this taken.

I'll leave you with that for now. More to come!

Miss you Kim!
