Cuteness and exciting news!

I just love this pic of Sugar pie with Grammy June. So cute in her "Snow White" nightie.

Sugar Pie was tickled pink when her Jei Jei (big sister) came in a few days ago with this little treasure! A lady that works next door to her has a little boy who has grown out of these books and she heard about Sugar and wanted to pass them down to her. I was so happy! Sugar LOVES to have someone read to her! She doesn't watch the babysitter TV much, I can always find something constructive and educational for her to do instead and reading her a story is one of her favorite things. We sometimes go to the library and sit in on story time or I'll read 4-5 books to her. These books are in MINT condition. When Sugar is done with them we will pass them on to Miss K.
I just have to add...after watching Little Chocolatiers last week I was almost offended with the Title of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Little People." Well hey I'm only 5 feet remember. ;O). " oh and "A Wocket in My Pocket", that one cracks me up!

Just had to share this shot I took last week of a Snowy Owl we seen on a sign post down our street. He was there for hours! This one is the male we think. There is a lighter colored one around our street too but I haven't seen her in a bit so we're hoping there are some cute little owlets somewhere close, can't wait to see the little hooters! Ahem..te he.

Have a great rest of the week everyone. I'm going for surgery Thursday to hopefully correct a back problem I've had for about 12 years so you may not hear from me for a bit. Looking forward to some pain free livin' so I can enjoy a fun filled summer with Sugar Pie! ANNNNDDDD to enjoy opening our home to Kim from Issabella's Mommy ( Sorry she hasn't gone public with her blog yet but my regular followers know who she is) for a week!!!!! I can't wait to get her here and be with her when she experiences her first taste of lobster at Fisherman's Wharf, our Red sand on the beaches, meeting up with the 3D Family YAY, deep sea fishing, clam digging, berry picking and preserving, trip across the longest unsuspended bridge in the world (10 miles long), Anne of Green Gables of course and hopefully if I can find the horseback riding place I went to a few years ago that takes you down to the water, we'll do that too...and maybe a night or two of camping...we'll see what else she might like to do and still make time for good ole relaxing at this beach. Mostly looking forward to helping her make at least one week of this long slow ride to China a little more bearable.
I'm really looking forward to it! Yay!!!!!

Debz, is it a simple back surgery? I hope you won't be in too much pain. They can do so many new things with the surgeries these days....it is amazing.
We have a few of the Disney books you show here. They are a real treasure. Have fun reading!

Hey there, I live in New Brunswick on Grand Manan Island and have been following your blog for a bit. My husband and I are just starting the process to adopt a waiting child from China. We are almost done our homestudy. Just thought I would say Hi. Also, wondering about others you may know in Atlantic Canada that have done the same thing, I would love to connect with them and you. My blog is www.drawneartotheheartofgod.blogspot.com
Thanks so much, Kim Rayner

Oh the picture is just so sweet.

And the books!!! I LOVE BOOKS!!!! My best friend went to book sales the day she found out we were adopting, and for the next 2+ years she very carefully and lovingly picked out books for our daughter. I received them for the shower. And cried. We have the most beautiful collection.

I pray everything goes/went well for your surgery. I know how awful back pain can be.

And HOW FUN!! I hope you have a lovely time with your friend. Sounds like FUN FUN FUN!!

Hope your surgery goes well! You need to be able to crawl, run, jump, and slide after your daughter pain free!
