Cause I Knew You All Needed The Laugh Today..."Mommy's Bung...."

I took Sugar to the pool a couple of days ago. She absolutely loved it! I wish I could have taken a picture of her but they have a strict policy not allowing any cameras (totally understandable).

A embarrassing funny thing happened while we were there......it should could have been avoided....if I were prepared to educate my daughter on the mommy female anatomy....when we went into the "Family" changing room and it was empty. It's so much easier to slip in and out of clothing when they are dry so Sugar didn't notice me twisting like a pretzel turning to avoid her asking questions plus anything she can work on independently makes her feel like a big girl so she was preoccupied ;O).

When we finished with the pool we headed back to the "Family" dressing room and because it was close to meal time everyone else had the same idea. We slipped into a dressing room and I wrapped Sugar in a towel figuring she could sit there warm in her towel while I got dry and dressed first. I turned from her and took my top off and she was trying to look around me yelling saying Mommy, Mommy, whas dat...Mommy whas dat? I ignored her and worked faster to get that wet suit off of me...I dried off and slipped my shirt on. There were a lot of people in the dressing room so no one probably heard my girl yelling talking right? I figured my best bet was to stay turned from her while I took off my bottoms and wrap the towel around be as quick as I could. You all know what it's like trying to take wet clothes off right?...well the bottoms started to roll and get bunched up which made it impossible difficult to remove quickly.....now keep in mind there is nothing in this room to keep the spectator daughter occupied....imagine what was going threw her mind....to me it was like a slow motion x rated version of the Christmas Special K commercial where the mother is wearing the santa house coat and she is bent over the fireplace while her daughter came down the steps and yelled "Santa!"....well the rest of the dressing rooms started to get quiet but there were still voices out there...not enough to camouflage Sugar though....and you know that slight echo that happens in a room like that....She proceeds to scream say Mommy! Mommy Whas dat! Mommy's Bung, Mommy's Bung (Bum)....I spun around to see the look of utter shock on Sugar's face that Mommy even had a bung and I lost all composer! I darn near peed my :o ....well never mind...I'm looking at her with my finger in front of my lips saying shhhhhhh and laughing at the same time cause she would not stop asking if dat was mommy's bung! So I had no choice but to answer her praying hoping even though you could hear a pin drop out there that no one was listening. "Yes, Sugar Pie....Mommy has a bung"..... Sheesh! We finally got our things together and we walked out of the room with a few eyes on us , blowing the wet hair off my face while run walking sauntered with my pride and joy in my arms out the door.

When I got to the car I busted a gut. My face was red for an hour. Why didn't we do Chapter 1 of the Birds and The Bees...it would have benefited me greatly!

The above pic I took of Sugar once I was dressed, while she was still laughing that her Mommy had a "bung". She had fun telling that story to Daddy.....he gave me a very quizical look......I explained later....He laughed at with me. ;O)

Heh...and you thought all the "Firsts" would be fun. :oO

LOL! And...count yourself lucky...my 4 year old shared with me "Mom...your bottom is big but cute" while swimming and then informed me that another lady's "rumpus" was "big as a boat" in the grocery line. Out of the mouths of babes :)
Hope all is well and happy 2010!

Girl, I can just see that episode! It happens to us all, one thing or another gets accidentally exposed. At least it was your girl seeing it and now your son :)

Oh love it! I so can relate to the "shhhh's" & the "hush hush chatter in gym locker room with my wee-ones!
But you must cherish that moment about your "bung"....the innocence of Sugars question warms my heart and makes me giggle over and over!

This is way too funny. Try having a new 3 year old son asking the same things. LOL Luckily we have been home when the questions came up. It wasn't my bung it was my boobs he was asking about. VBLOL

Too funny! You described the situation correctly, same with AA, every time she is in the stall with me.... nothing to occupy her mind either!!
