Thinks are a-bloomin'

Well things are finally starting to take shape here on the Island finally. I've been puttering around a little here and there but it's still pretty chilly most days to be working outside. This morning it's only about 3 degrees Celsius which would be about 42 Fahrenheit. Brrrrrrr!
This is a lilac tree I planted in our yard when we built the house about 6 years ago. I actually planted 2 of them one THIS color and one THIS color. One of them didn't make it, and neither of them were big enough to bloom until this year....I have only one bloom on it but it will be the end to my 6 years of suspense as I don't know which of the 2 colors survived! So far this is all I see....I can't wait to see which one it is!
My viola plant keeps spreading all over the place, I even see them coming up in the lawn! Now if I could just get them to choke out the not-so-Dandelions I'd be all set.
My favorite bloom to see in the spring is my Cherry tree. They are so pretty and delicate. When she drops her blooms it looks like confetti...so pretty. I can see why in China they celebrate a Cherry Blossom Festival. The cherry tree's have a celebration all on their own...so we might as well join in!! Have a wonderful day all!
