Day 11, Laguna Beach

The official Laguna lifeguard sign.
This was an alley way that I thought was really sweet, it had little shops through it to the street behind.
LOL! Shane reading a text and my attempt to get a pic of us on the beach!
AHHHH! A Laguna Beach sunset.....isn't is colorful.

First thing this morning we went for a coffee at Starbucks. I love the sayings that they have on their cups. The last couple I got said: "Don't hug your kids because you want a hug in return, hug them so they will hug their kids and their kids will hug theirs." and " If you want to win in the battle of ideas, you have to run toward the sound of the guns." Funny how you sometimes hear something and you have an "Ah Ha" moment, I love the first one but the second one was an "Ah Ha" for me. I've been praying for clairity on something in my life and I believe it is going to take me acting on faith rather than feelings and letting go of the fears of failure. I know Gods plan is the perfect plan, I need to let Him take the reins. It's time for a shift inside my life.

We went down to the beach for a couple of hours this morning and then for another hour or so later in the afternoon. We spent the evening walking up and down the street to all the little shops and art exhibits. Laguna Beach is not only "surf city" but is also known for it's artistic talent. We sat on a park bench and watched the sun go down. I can hardly believe that tomorrow is our last day of vacation :o(. We're already talking about what we will do next year!

While we were at Starbucks we sat at a bistro where there was a "USA Today" paper sitting and there was an article on the front page that was rather upsetting. "Infant crisis inflames China" where tainted formula sickened 53,000 babies. The food safety chief resigned from his job as the government tried to contain the public anger. Apparently he knew for months that it was tainted with melamine which causes kidney stones to name one problem. The melamine was added to ALL types of formula including powdered. You can read the entire article here. I pray the orphanages all know and stop using the formula. Four children have already died and that is four too many.

I don't know what you are doing next year yet either, but I am going too.... you aren't leaving me home alone again for 2 WEEKS ARGGGGGHHHHHHHHH. I didn't think I could miss a human this much (that I didn't give birth to or marry)

I am glad that you found Starbucks inspirational!!!!!!
