Well there you have it folks, 6 days closer to our daughter. I'm not even going to dwell on time lines this month so that is all I have to say about this months update. I'm going to have a great holiday despite it all. Yes, I know I just had to stick that last sentence in there.
I just had to do a before picture of these gifts because I loved the ladybug wrapping paper! I very skillfully removed the paper cause I wanted to recycle it! My niece loves ladybugs too and I thought I'd wrap something in it just for fun. See the note on the bottom left? It says "Just a little hint to let you know where I'm from".
I was so excited to see the gymboree box! I love their stuff! The little note pad went straight to work helping me organize my Christmas shopping. Darling wash cloth! The frame is sweet it says family on it, and a little ladybug card holder that you can paint. There is also a little travel pack with baby care items in it which will come in handy for travel. Last but not least is the hint on where my secret pal is from and to tell you the truth the shape didn't give it away but the "Lone Star" in the middle did! Hello Texas! Thank you once again secret pal you made my day.
One of my friends came over the other day and she brought this in to me.......it stands about 2 1/2 feet high and it is actually quite well made. She got it at a store called "How Bazaar" where the owner goes from country to country in search of unique and bazaar things. I believe this angel was made in Bangladesh. The first thing she said when she handed it to be "backwards " was. "You can sand down it's face and just paint it flesh color??" I was more taken with it's hair than anything!!! But the more I looked at it the more I really liked her just the way she was. I sat her beside the hood dryer in my salon and I had a LOT of pretty funny comments about her! One of my little old ladies said...."Ummmm I see....." and I smirked and looked at her and said " go ahead say it!" She burst out laughing and said "That's UGLY!" Another client came in and said what many other clients said.... "She needs bangs or something..." so I turned around while she was there and I bent down one of her curls! I looked at her and I almost wet myself! I had to put it back up without looking because each time I did I took a fit laughing so bad that my ribs were sore! She looks like the town mayor from Who Ville! I think I'll keep her just the way she is. I'm quite fond of her now!
