Up to now, the CCAA has been taking about 28-29 days to process 11-14 days worth of dossiers. But, in May, the dossiers should be slowing down due to the new rules. They won't be getting as many applicants, therefore, I am hoping they will be using the extra time/employees to process our dossiers a little faster.The law of physics tells us that gravity pulls us down when we are going up (like the increase of files that flooded China) but when we reach the top of the incline ( where I hope our file is almost at on my imaginary graph) the decline/gravity will push us down resulting in things speeding up for all of us right! ?! I believe that the increase in files primarily happened from Feburary 2006 to August 2006 so I may be way out on a limb here but IMHO I think you will see the trend change at least by June of this year. Wouldn't it be amazing if they started doing 28 days worth again! May I be so bold as to predict that we are hoping to see our referral by at least Feburary 2008? Is this unrealistic?
Maybe it's just me being hopeful but hey, it is what keeps me going. ;O)

Hey Deb! :) I feel like kind of an idiot every time I say I'm not going to get my hopes up, but then always still hold out a little hope that things are actually going to start to go faster! I know its dumb but I keep on thinking it month after month! I'm a sucker for punishment, what can I say?

I agree that things will speed up. There will be less files to log in and more man power to do other things. Hope is the one thing we have going for us in the adoption process and is one thing we can control. We can also give others hope for staying positive, so thanks for doing that for us all!
