Planting a Terra Cotta Tree

Get one large pot and 4 smaller ones and a garden staff or a post that will fit into the holes at the bottom of the pot. Set all the pots inside each other in the spot your wanting your terra cotta tree displayed. Insert the garden staff and push into the ground far enough that it feels sturdy. Lift the four smaller pots and fill bottom one with soil.
Take the bottom of the smaller pot out and slant it to the side then set the next one to the opposite side leaning against the garden staff till all the pots are tipped. Then add soil to each pot.
Add whatever plant you like to each pot and watch them overflow with beautiful blooms all summer! Enjoy!!! I have this big one and on the side of my house I have a tiny one on the other side also. They are a fun optical illusion for your guests.

Rumors are flying around that the CCAA is sending out a batch up to November 7th LID's. It's not as good as the rumor that was circulating earlier in the month of referrals up to the 20th, but on the lighter side it is not 2 days worth! Here's to all of you who get to finally see your babies faces this month! I'll be on the look out hanging onto your shirttails and celebrating with you.

Question about the review room

I thought this was cute! Just wondering did anybody notice that the CCAA only had 9 days in the review room last month but 50 the months before? What were your thoughts on this. Has this happened before?

It was looking like we were going to be in the review room on our 1 year LID anniversary when they were doing 3o day reviews, then when they did 50 and well that would have sped things up! but 9 well I don't even want to go there. I just want out of the review room just so I know someone touched our file and blew the dust off it!

There were only 2 days worth of LID's referred this month or last month however you want to look at it. This is very discouraging news, for those of you who don't understand, it means that each month the CCAA sends 1 batch of referrals out based on their LID. Right now there are 232 more days to go before they get to us.

The CCAA used to match up to 28-30 days but have decreased over the last few months to anywhere from 15-11-9 days. Now that they did only 2 days worth it makes me wonder how long will these small batches will last. All I can do is hope and pray that this trend will speed up. It will be encouraging to see the numbers back to the double digits.

Thanks Aunt Lori for the sweet Easter gifts, you made my day! I wish she were here so I could put them on her. I think the little t-shirt and scort are adorable with the little fish on them. Not to mention the smallest bathing suit I think I've ever seen! The sandals are sweet too. We're going to have quite a wardrobe for our little bunny. I can't wait to dress her up for Church on Sunday mornings, oh the fun I'm going to have!

On another note I was in at our local dollar store today to pick up some stationary and had a peek around, I almost dropped on the floor when I seen pregnancy tests for a buck!!!! I spent a bloody fortune on those things for years before our adoption process. But really though in all honesty can they guarantee quality assurance for a buck?

Optimistic

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketUp to now, the CCAA has been taking about 28-29 days to process 11-14 days worth of dossiers. But, in May, the dossiers should be slowing down due to the new rules. They won't be getting as many applicants, therefore, I am hoping they will be using the extra time/employees to process our dossiers a little faster.
The law of physics tells us that gravity pulls us down when we are going up (like the increase of files that flooded China) but when we reach the top of the incline ( where I hope our file is almost at on my imaginary graph) the decline/gravity will push us down resulting in things speeding up for all of us right! ?! I believe that the increase in files primarily happened from Feburary 2006 to August 2006 so I may be way out on a limb here but IMHO I think you will see the trend change at least by June of this year. Wouldn't it be amazing if they started doing 28 days worth again! May I be so bold as to predict that we are hoping to see our referral by at least Feburary 2008? Is this unrealistic?
Maybe it's just me being hopeful but hey, it is what keeps me going. ;O)
