Firsts...for Sugar AND Mommy

We want to make a big deal out of all of Sugar's firsts so we have decorated to the hilt for Valentines day. We even did a Valentines Day tree covered in hearts. Beside the TV we have a little mail box that we have been putting her Valentines in. I put a shout out on my Facebook status that if anyone wanted Sugar's address I would send it to them so they are starting to arrive! Sugar is tickled pink! A couple people thought it would make a nice swap idea but I just haven't had time to post it and by the time I organized it Valentines Day will be here and gone but if anyone was interested in Chinese New Year Card swap I might be interested in either hosting or participating. Give me some feed back and I'll go from there.
Sugar had her first ice cream the other day...she wasn't sure what to do with it but once she figured it out she enjoyed it to the very last bite! Which Daddy helped her with because she felt it was getting a little messy. ;O)..... (She's her mothers daughter) LOL!

YUMMY!

Sugar doing her chores ;O)
I had a first too! I made my first Fondant Cake and it was sooooooooo fun! I loved it! I can't wait to make another one!
I used carrot cake as the cake part and vanilla as the base then I played with the food coloring.
I thought it might look better than it tasted but last night I had a piece and I have to say it was really, really good actually.
Soooooooo......guess what I'm going to attempt tonight!!!!!! Yup! Our annual Super Bowl party is this weekend and I am going to attempt to make a football cake. I really can't decide which team to go for so I"ll probably try to put both logos on it. Unless someone convinces me to go for one certain team...I was a fair weather fan last year and I know it's more fun to go for one team so you can razz all the other teams fans at your party but I can never pick. So help me out ladies ;O). I'll post a picture of it when I finish it.
I didn't only buy the football pan for a football cake, I think I can make Ki@ lan's face out of it too and maybe Hello Kitty if I cut off the points and use them as Hello Kitty's ears. ;O)

The cake is so pretty!! Was it difficult? Holly and I have wanted to do it for a long while, but thought it might be tough to do.

OH! How fun! We had one of my students from our homeschool Mock Trial group make the fondant cake for Chloe's wedding! It came out adorable.

I was too afraid to try it. :) Not to mention it WAS my daughter's wedding and I was stressed enough.

COLTS!!! Go for Peyton! The Manning brothers are so cool!

I LOVE it that you guys watch the Super Bowl up there. I love football. My poor husband is the football widower during the season. Bless his heart. I am getting better. :)

You were a fair weather fan last year?? The Steelers is my favorite team since I was like...9.

In fact, for our 20th anniversary, my husband did not get me jewelry or anything ordinary like that. He got me a Ben Roethlesberger authentic jersey! He knows me and he loves me!!!!

Yes! post the cake so we can admire it!
