A Monumental Moment....grab your kleenex!

This is her nap time pillow. When I pull it out around 12:30 or 1:00 she jumps up on the couch and pulls the socks off and lays down for an hour. No resistance at all. I love watching her sleep. ;O).
Things are going well on our second week home. Sugar hasn't packed her belongings to go back to the orphanage since we returned home so looks like she'll stay ;o). She and I were flying solo all week cause Baba had to go back to work. He was home on Monday then off to work until tomorrow. We get on Skype each night with Baba so he can see her and say goodnight. He has this Monday off cause it's Thanksgiving here in Canada.........we have so much to be thankful for this year!
As I said before, Sugar took to Baba much easier than me. So this week was going to be a pretty good gauge of where I stood, having the choice of me or Baba taken away from her. I thought she handled it very well. She and I mention his name many times threw the day when she sees a picture or I show her something that belongs to him. We have a pretty good schedule that she has conformed to nicely all week. When she wakes up from nap or in the morning at first she's a little fuzzy, she looks for Baba then a few minutes later she comes around and is full of smiles, hugs, giggles and kisses.
Her feelings towards me were solidified today threw both actions and words when I was looking for a couple of easy Chinese songs to learn and this little song came up.......They must have sung it to her at the orphanage.....Sugar wanted me to pick her up and "she" sang it "to me"....it didn't occur to me what she was singing until I seen the lyrics.....in Chinese it went like this:
Shir shahng jir yo mah how
you mah duh hi dzuh shyanhng kwye baow
toe jean mah mah duh hwye baow
sheeng foo shyahng boo lyaow.
This is where a tissue might come in handy.
The English translation:
On earth only mother is good.
A child who has a mother is like a treasure.
To rest in Mother's embrace,
is an endless blessing.
My heart is still melting.
It was impossible to stop the tears.
God is so good.
Praising Him for little breakthrew's that change our world.

Oh she is precious. I'm glad she's stopped packing-sweet baby! It is wonderful how well prepared you are for so many of the "bumps" you've encountered. How right you are for each other! =)
