Best 3 Year LID Gift We Could Ever Ask For!!

I had hoped to do this post with a picture but alas I have to wait another day. Our adoption coordinator's printer was just getting fixed and the color wasn't well adjusted so when I tried to scan the pic it didn't turn out at all. I e-mailed her but didn't get a reply yet.

Back in February we switched to the WC program. It was something we had discussed many times, in fact in our original dossier we stated we would accept a child with minor correctable needs. Each time we thought about changing things would look like they were going to speed up so we would hold off a bit longer. We are so happy we finally took that leap of faith......cause.....Last Wednesday we got a call from the province with a child proposal!

We went down finally see our daughter and we fell head over heals right away. "Jazmyn Callie June" (Chunyang Tong) is 4 years old, she weighs 28 pounds and is almost 3 feet tall. She is from Heilongjiang, farthest northeast province just below Russia. So our winters here won't be anything different to her as far as temperature goes. She was born May 13, 2005. She was found May 15Th, 2006 a few days over a year old, wondering alone in a park and was brought to Children's Welfare Institute of Harbin City May 25Th, 2006 after police tried to find her family.

At 14 month of age she had surgery paid for by "The Tomorrow Plan" with whom I am sooooo very grateful! Since discharged she has been developing normally and is a happy, quiet, she is a great sleeper, has a good appetite, loves "SUGAR and SPICE!" likes to draw, used to a regular bedtime regiment, likes to exercise, music, likes to talk.....this made me a little sad ...."she *sometimes* plays with other children in the park"..... I can't help but wonder if there is a deep rooted fear of being in a park. I PROMISE BABY GIRL I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU IN THE PARK :o(...she likes to bath, picture books, smiles lots and is very fond of her caregiver.....this made me very happy, I'm glad to know she is capable of attaching herself to someone and not afraid to do so.

Our agency says we may be traveling in about 3 months!!!!!! Waiting on LSC then TA! Our file went very quickly from being 'Submitted" to "Assessing" to "Application Approval".....like I'm saying 2 days! I had a group of 6 ladies whom I have named my Armour Bearers since Mothers Day 2007 praying for our adoption and they were carrying us threw this last few days and we felt so blessed and covered. They're over the roof excited! Our families are beyond excited, we ONLY told about 5 people and they were all essential to helping us figure things out and get things moving.

So there you have it! I can hardly wait til we get the e-mail from our Adoption Coordinator so I can finally post pictures! There were so many little faith things that happened in the last few days as well that I will have to post about.
We are so happy!

I have so much to do!!!! I have a nursery that needs to be changed into a little girls room! OH YAY :O)!

DREAMS DO COME TRUE!

What a great story! I tell you... I'm amazed at the number of June Bugs who have switched programs! It may only be Tonggu Momma and me left to meet up in China. LOL! You'll be home with your little one long before the few of us who are still in the NSN line. I talked to my agency about switching back last Fall .... but they don't participate in a SN/WC program anymore.

Congratulations again!! Can't wait to see photos.

Debz, so excited for you.

We have been on the waiting list since Dec. and it just looks hopeless for us. Our agency even told us that we have requested very mild needs and they are hard to find these days. We have even upped our age to nearly 5. Wendy just wants a sister to play with.

You are so fortunate to have found your little darling. I think it is just wonderful and little girl rooms are so much fun to make over! Besides she can still play with the doll I sent you ages ago. ha

As for "Special K's" message....
I'm still here in line with you girl!. I know what you mean about how many have dropped off of the NSN's list. If I had of known it would be taking this long I would have done it years ago.

I can't wait to see her little photo, Debz!!!!!

Thank you Debz for sharing her story and I cannot imagine leaving a baby alone in the park ;(

How's the process now? Does it mean that you'll travel to China and bring her back to Canada or like what I saw on TV programs, the agency will bring her to you?
