So here we are at our 31st LID anniversary, A number I never dreamt I'd see as a LID anniversary. I believe at this point I will see the LID's go past my age! So would that make the 39th LID anniversary my "Champagne" LID?
Last year the CC@@ referred 76 days worth of files for the year and in 2007 they referred 103 days worth, there are 108 more days before they get to our file so I'm praying that they will speed things up and go beyond what they have done in the last two years. I heard that March was a big month but with the slow down in days of referrals I can't help but wonder if many of those families switched countries or programs or made other plans earlier in the wait. I did a poll on my June yahoo group to see how many were still in the regular program and the results were 77% so that means 33% have made other plans to grow their families. Hard to say if trends will start to change, just when we think they might they don't. All we can do is hope this year will be the beginning of a very good year.
Last Sunday at Church the weekly bulletin had a list of 51 babies that have been born since 2004, it also listed the names of the current expecting moms for 2009 of which I was one......I'm pretty sure there will be more pregnancy's before we get to China but I gotta just say it was very nice to see my name there, and knowing they are praying this will happen in 2009 makes me feel so covered.
I found great comfort in a passage that I had to memorize for my course that I'm taking especially when one of the ladies from our Church gave me a gift and wrote the very same passage on the card! It's Isaiah 55:10-11. (written below my memory)
"For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth, and making it bear and sprout, and furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so shall My Word be which goes forth from My mouth, it shall not return to me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it."
I feel this is God's promise to me.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
