29th LID Anniversary

Well here we are 29 months into the wait. I just sat here a second ago and figured if they averaged on the mid to low side of the numbers we have seen of late, so lets say 5 days averaged over our 119 days left before they get to us that would mean another 24 months on top of our 29.....that would be a 57 month wait.........I always hated math......seems I still do. This trend could still change...things could turn around without a moments notice. I'm sticking to my optimism, hope and prayer....it's all I got! Our burning question now is we wonder who will be older Kennady or Tegan. Will Tegan be Kennady's younger or older auntie? Either way they are going to love each other and are we ever going to have fun around here!

Jac and Ty got moved into their place and semi settled. It's weird around the house this weekend without her here. I know she moved away for a few months for college but this is different. She is moved out to start her own adult life and I'm feeling pretty good about that in my heart. I'm confident she is going to get along just fine.

I'm going to try to get caught up on every one's blog between tonight and tomorrow. Sorry I haven't been around but life kinda takes over sometimes doesn't it! Now with this course that I'm taking I have to try to figure out a schedule that allows me to make the best of my time and leave adequate amount for staring at Kennady and taking Mr. Bailey for walks.

It's amazing how quickly they grow up and move out and become adults.

I've seen friends go through the same thing (their kids moving out)... it freaks me out to think, one day, my babies will leave home and have to fend for themselves!

:) So nice that you can shuffle things to fit in your gorgeous puppy, and of course your adorable grand-daughter!

lets hope the trend changes!

IT is normal to be a little heavy of heart. I know I always feel that when one goes. After all we have them for a long time.

Hey Debbie,
First of all...thank you for the nice comment on our blog! We are safe and sound in our own house in PEI and Evan is doing great!

I was just catching up on your blog....how adorable your grandson is!

Discouraging to still think you might have 24 months left...remember, if you ever want to chat or ask questions about the WC program, I would love to talk with you. The only reason I say this is I know how dearly you want to have your child home and there are many children waiting right this minute for their new mommy and daddy...another 24 months away means your potential NSN child hasn't even been born yet, right? So, just my thoughts because I know your heart is longing for a precious little girl (maybe even a boy???) and I know there are children longing for their mommies as we speak (write).

Take care...you are in my thoughts and prayers!
