Day 3, Pebble Beach & Pacific Grove and our 27th LID

Well off we go today to Pebble Beach!
We took tons of pics threw the Rocky Mountains, we got to see farmers work the fields and box up lettuce of every different variety to ship them to various places. One of the buyers was Dole and I think Eden Valley was another.
I seen some cactus for the first time! We drove threw Santa Barbra which was pretty cool. Seen lots of horse ranches. At one point we were driving with mountains on one side of us and the Pacific ocean on the other side......somewhere across that water is a little girl who is destined to be ours. I sent off a kiss and whispered...'we will be together one day soon.' What a way to celebrate our 27th LID hey! Until we go there this is the closest I will get to her is from the other side of this ocean and I got to look across it today and think of her. sigh. Click HERE for my slide show
We drove for 5 1/2 hours and finally reached Pebble Beach. You should have seen the look on my hubby's face! He was beaming from ear to ear! The 5 1/2 hour drive didn't seem to fizz him anymore....he couldn't get parked fast enough. We went in and had a walk around and I took a few pics of him here and there. He wanted one pic of himself standing by the 18th hole and we succeeded in accomplishing that! We went to the retail outlet and he browsed around almost tripping over his feet when he seen some of the price tags on some of the stuff. I was holding off buying him a birthday gift so that when we got here I could get him something special so we found a sweatshirt that wasn't a million dollars! It was more than I would pay for a normal shirt. I just thought when if ever will he ever have an opportunity to do this again, plus he is worth it. He left there a very satisfied man.

We decided to find a Hotel in the area for the night and ended up in Pacific Grove which is the sweetest little town ever! I totally reminds me of a miniature Freeport, Maine! It is incredibly quaint and quiet. Everyone is smiling and friendly. It is famed for it's Monarch Butterfly Conservatory which in honor of my sister who loves butterflies we plan to go have a look around tomorrow. We went to a cafe up by an Autumn harvest festival that was being celebrated. It is actually quite chilly out here by the peninsula. I think it is only 12 degrees Celsius or so. One of the ladies we were talking with at the golf club said that once you are about 10 minutes inland it heats up again.
