Thanks to my ROCKIN' secret pal for the sweet gifts, it came at the perfect time! I adore the little ladybug brush and comb! I seen a picture of a little girl the other day and she had one in her hand and that was the first I'd seen of them. Of course everything and anything with a ladybug I must have and I didn't even have to go hunting for this one! Thanks! The lantern is beautiful and YEEEEEE HAAAAA I finally get to try Moon Cakes! I have seen them but I have yet to try them . I love that they came in the same baggy as the design on the tin! I might have to break them out for my birthday. For those of you who don't know what they are well Mooncakes are a Chinese pastry traditionally eaten during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Typical mooncakes are round or rectangular pastries, measuring about 10 cm in diameter and 4-5 cm thick. A thick filling usually made from lotus seed paste is surrounded by a relatively thin (2-3 mm) crust and may contain yolks from salted duck eggs !( I have to admit this freaks me out a bit!). Mooncakes are rich, heavy, and dense compared with most Western cakes and pastries. They are usually eaten in small wedges accompanied by Chinese tea. Thank you Secret Pal !! She asked in her card what my favorite time of year was and I have to say I LOVE FALL! I wish is could be fall all year round!
