I Love Red....

Ladybug Sighting!
This wonderful surprise was found inside my mailbox yesterday morning.....not sure whom to thank but whoever you are "Thank You" they are adorable. The plant tie has a twist tie at the back to tie onto a plant and the key chain is adorable! What a blessing it was to have a ladybug sighting yesterday, it seems that the real ladybugs are not as plentiful as they were last year. I think I've only seen 3 this year and one of them may not even have been one because it was a yellow one with psychedelic squares instead of spots and it landed on my yellow car which really makes it a phenomenon that I even seen him....I came in for my camera but by the time I got back out he was gone. True Story!!!!! So again who ever my anonymous "Buddy" is Thank you they are wonderful!!! I love em! Now come clean and leave me a message! LOL
Ahhh Cherries! I Love Cherries! Four years ago I bought my sweet little Cherry tree and it would blossom beautifully and start to fruit and the crows made off with the cherries, so I hung tin pie plates from it this year and it kept them away for the best part unless there was no wind and the plates were not clanging together one or two crows might have made off with a few, but sadly Monday I went out and realized that all the leaves and most of the fruit was being dehydrated by aphids!!!! I could just cry.....above is a picture of this years harvest. Sigh. Any suggestions for next year?

God must have known how sadly disappointed I was because yesterday while I was at work one of the ladies at my church called and told me that she was going away for a few days and was looking to find someone to clean up the rest of her tame strawberries from her garden so they didn't go to waste. Guess what I did after work yesterday? I love to make jams and jellies. I picked 7 ice cream containers full!

On the adoption front there are no new developments other than one of the ladies in our group who was questioned about a minor technicality was told by FOI that they would let her know when she was in the clear then she will e-mail us and let us know that our group is done of review. She is just nervous that it may bump her to a later group. I hope not I'm just getting to know someone in our group finally. We have a small group there were 14 and 2 families have pursued other options so we are down to 12 and I have really only been in contact with a couple of them. Please continue to pray that we will be out soon and that she will still be in our group.

I heard somewhere that you can actually order ladybugs for your trees or your area. I hope you can figure out your aphid problem!!!!

What a nice ladybug surprise!

Praying the family who got the review room question won't be delayed. If it was just a small thing I don't think they have to worry.

Sorry about your cherries -- I have no advice.
Lovely ladybug sighting! What a nice buddy.
Yummy strawberries -- we always used to go picking with my mom and make jam.
Don't worry too much about your travel group...I didn't know ANY of the families pre-travel and now they are my lifelong friends.

Love the ladybugs. The plant tie is a great idea, I've never seen them before.

Praying that everything goes well in the review room for your group.

Smiles! :o)

I would RUN to the store and buy heavy whipping cream, then bake shortcakes and prepare fresh strawberry shortcake (homemade whipped cream is so yummy). My favorite strawberry dessert!! I could eat it all day long.
Hope you enjoy every last strawberry (to heck with those cherries!!).
