Deb vs Tooth Fairy

Check out this proud smile! This brave little man is one of my clients Riley, when he came in to get his hair cut he showed me that he lost his first tooth the night before, and told me the tooth fairy gave him $4.00!!! and the tooth beside that one was just hanging by a thread.So his mom and brother went to the store and Riley and his step daddy stayed to get their hair cuts . I looked over at him and he was wiggling it with his tongue so I said $4.00 you say? Hum! I'll give you $5.00 if you pull it out before your mom comes back! At first he thought big deal whats a buck in the difference! I knew the look so I told him he could even keep the tooth and bring it home and place it under his pillow. So that sounded like a much better deal to him and he would try and try and chicken out and try again. I tried to get him to eat an apple, he didn't go for that, so I gave him Bazooka Joe bubble gum (Hard as chewing leather)and that didn't work. Then my friend popped in with her daughter and I told her what we were doing and she meet my $5.00 so now he stands the chance of loosing out on $10.00 plus the wage from the tooth fairy!!! I could almost see his cheeks turn red and he still couldn't bring himself to do it ! Mind you he never stopped trying! When his mom came he was disappointed so we told him if he pulled it out before I finished his step daddy's hair we would still agree to give him the money. Glenna asked if she could try to help him and he agreed so off he and his mommy went to the bathroom and in 2 minutes he was out of the bathroom with the biggest toothless smile I'd ever seen! You are a trooper Riley!!!!. It's a dog eat dog world out there I can't believe I was in competition with the tooth fairy! That's a first! Now Riley I just want to hear you say ..."Sister.Suzie's sitting on a thistle." AHHHH! Come on Pleazzzzzzzzze! Great job Riley! Two less to brush!
